I TOTALLY Forgot. . .

Well, Hey there! Long time-No see, er, write! I can't really begin to tell the hectic August/September month I've had, but with schools starting, sickness, many a visitor, a trip to Moab and the Arches (pictures coming soon), and trying to finish our basement, I have been doing everything but blogging. Amongst all that, life continues to happen. Meals still need to be prepared along with the cleaning of the subsequent dishes. Kids still need bathed. Laundry, well, I hate laundry!! But, I suppose, that needs to be done more! School shopping, which still has not been properly performed still needs to happen. My house needs to be cleaned and sanitized from all the "welcome back to school" diseases that surface this time of year. I tell ya. . . I could go on and on. But the reason for this blog entry is to sort of catch up on the random things this summer has brought, pictures that were forgotten about, etc. In no particular order.

What's wrong with this picture? This Rhyan kid loves baths! Enough that she will literally dive in head first whether it's her bath or not!
" Hold on mom, just doing my hair."

"Yeah, about this mess. . .it just sorta happened. But on the bright side, my finger tastes great!" This was Rhyan's first real mess
My girls and I went with my friend Christie and her kids to a little fundraiser event for a young mom of two who is fighting breast cancer. It was a cute little fair type atmosphere. Christie's hubby's band (Forty Days) played and did an awesome job. There was an amazing face painter there and she did this cat on Morgan and did a princess crown on Emmie, but I don't know what happened to that picture. Next several pictures are the girls enjoying the kiddie pool in our back yard.
SRSLY?!!
"EMMIE!, watch your knees!"
"Here, I'm just gonna hold your head. Mmmmmkay?"
"Is that it? Did you get it mom? Emmie's not in position is she?!"
How could I ever get mad at that little face?
I told her to give me her best pout since she was already in the mood. Pretty good pouting!
Awww. That's cute. But look at the difference in the color of the legs. Indian and Irish!
These pics are from Morgan and Emmie's swimming lessons. I didn't get very many good ones since I had to take all my pictures from behind the swimming pool fence!! Some moms went right by the pool if they didn't have any other children with them and if they were ok sitting on the hot cement! NOT very accommodating for moms, I say!
"Hurry take it mom! I'm not gonna stop walking."
HA. That's what she gets for not stopping.
Right before this picture Morgan stood on the diving board and showed me her muscles!
I know some of you are aware, but we had the best year of production from our cherry tree ever!!! I even learned how to can them and asked others to come pick them, and I still had way more than I could handle. The birds got the one's on top because there is no way either McKay or I could even come close to those ones. Even standing on our shed! This is one of the pictures I took standing under the tree looking up. That cherry tree is by far, our favorite tree. It's tall and beautiful and has an interesting shape at the trunk, but it never gave us more than a cereal bowl of cherries, until now! Here's hoping for next year!

* Summer Adventures: Final Saga ,with Moab pictures, is coming very soon. No really. I promise.

And. . .She's Off To 1st Grade. .

~I tried to get a good picture before school, but it wasn't happening, so this is after school.~

She's off to 1st grade. . .with a broken arm, just like grandma Jo. I bet grandma didn't have a sweet hot pink cast though like Morgan does. She broke it about two weeks before school started and at this point still has a couple more weeks to wear the hard cast. Merrrr. She's been really good about it though. No whining.

This is the first year that she is gone for the whole day. . .Sniff, (jump up and down & shout hooray), sniff, sniff. I have mixed feelings, but mostly I 'm excited because she's excited. She's funny. This morning, she was telling McKay and I that she was tired and needed a break from school. I said, "That's crazy, you haven't even gone for two whole weeks yet." McKay said, " Pshh, she hasn't gone for twelve years yet!" Then she can tell us she needs a break.

So far, Morgan talks the most about how fun it is to have lunch at school. And she makes sure I know how big she is to walk to school (even though she walks with our neighbor- a 3rd grader). And the school is only two blocks away. But, at least I don't need to drive her or walk her to school myself. Now that Morgan is actually in school all day long, I feel like I can't slow her down, it will just continue to go faster and faster from here on out. Hopefully, I can keep up and not miss out!
