Our Memorial Day was a day (that almost got cancelled due to the possibility of rain, good thing Utah weather changes) with some good friends, good food, and good ol' segregation. . .between the women and men. How does that happen? It almost always does. . .not that I mind terribly. Here we have Rachel (with Makayla on her lap), Christie, Sabra (with Jonas on her lap), Kate, Kim, and Chelsy. Of course, I'm the photographer. And here's the guys. . .seriously? I know you can't see their faces, but this is the most honest picture. There's Chad, Sam, Dillon, Damon,Troy, Matt, and driving this crazy train, we have McKay.

RandoMneSs
Here are a few random pictures I've taken recently for yours and my enjoyment. Your welcome!
First, I have to say that my Mother's Day was wonderful. I was soo relaxed, I didn't get on the blog, here, and write anything purty to or about my moms. Ok. I was being lazy. McKay made sure I didn't have to do much, especially cooking and cleaning-the whole day. That's huge! And I was very appreciative to him for that. Now that I am a mom, (of course it always happens this way), I am even more thankful that I had/have such a wonderful mom and now mother-in-law. I have been blessed to have such wonderful, strong, intelligent, and talented women around me my whole life. And I'm sure I am one in a million who is just as thankful for her mother-in-law as she is her own mom. What a blessing!! Here is my favorite mother's day card. . .it was from my friend Kim. . .if you can't read it, it says," Say What!. . . .Babies come from where?!" The inside. . .
I wanted to take a picture of Morgs and Emmers by this cute little waterfall at the Gateway mall. Too bad I didn't pay attention to the big ugly truck coming through. . . .ugghh.
Emmie figured out a while ago that she can cross her eyes. So now when she does anything like drink, or eat, or smell her blankie, she thinks if she crosses her eyes, it means she's doubly talented. We actually just think it's hilarious... She was helping me make 90 brownies for a Young Men activity on this talented occasion.

It's Only 2 Years Now. . .
Happy Birthday to me!!! It was last Thursday (the 30th , if anyone wants to write it down), so I'm a little slow at updating, but I just had a weekend of festivities! I had to wait to get it all in. The first celebration was actually 10 days before my birthday, when my dear friend Rachel offered to take me to see "Phantom," (not to be confused with Phantom of The Opera, that's a whole other awesomeness that I will take Rachel to, if it ever comes back!), it was soo much fun. Then my other dear friend, Kim took me on my birthday to get a pedicure, which I haven't done in a couple years! I knew I wanted green on my toes, it's my favorite color! But I wasn't sure how I wanted it, until I saw the girl's toes that works there. I figured, if I just wanted one color, I could do that myself at home. But it's not very often I get to have a highly-skilled, short, no English-speaking, Vietnamese woman with a steady hand make a master piece on my delicate toes!! Love them! Rachel also made me cupcakes for my b-day, so I told Mckay he was off the hook to make or buy me a birthday cake, (I didn't want to make my own, like usual). We also had planned to go out together, just McKay and I to go get a really nice pair of jeans for me, it's all I wanted. So, back to creating the evening birthday scene: No presents, well, not ones to unwrap (the ones I got from J. and M. were already opened), no big fantastic cake, and certainly no decorations. This is what prompted Morgan to come in from playing with friends all excited and after surveying the surroundings and how completely ordinary it was, she said, " I quit!" Mckay says, "Quit what?", Morgan replies, "This party, it's dumb! There's no presents, no cake and we're just having dinner like usual, " That's when I piped up and said, "Not Exactly like usual. . .dad's making dinner!" Needless to say, my birthday was apparently a big disappointment to Morgan. However, this lovely bouquet of dandelions you see before you are one of my favorite presents. This is how you know you're a mom. Bouquets of weeds that your children are overly thrilled with and they give them to you hoping you will love them just as much. They died by dinner-time. The flowers that is. . .
