Everyone knows how my girls LOVE their blankies. Well, Emmie has gotten, shall we say, extreme, with her smelling/sniffing enjoyment. She has, for a while, been sticking the little tassels aaalll the way up her nose...it's disgusting. Even when I wash the blanket, the tassels seemed to still be "grease stained," and dark, yucky looking. So, this last Sunday, when we were coming home from church, I picked up her blankie and said, "that's it Emmie, I'm cutting these off!" To my surprise she said"O.k. mommy. Goodbye little buddies!" So cute, I almost didn't follow through with it, but I knew if I ever wanted to break the gross habit, this was something that had to be done. One down. . .

Valentine Fun
Valentine's Day can be a lot of fun for everyone you love, and celebrating all the different kinds of love in your life. I had fun picking out my girls' v-day gifts this year. I have had these tu-tus (that doesn't look right), in my closet since October from our Fabulous Friday at church. Everyone else got started with their tu-tu kits that night, but not me! I was planning on giving them to the girls for Christmas, but I forgot about them. Then I went to a store and saw a Fancy Nancy book that I figured my "Fancy Nancies" should have and it reminded me that I have all the supplies for required fanciness in the form of a tu-tu for each of my girls, so... They were pretty happy to wake up to see the Fancy Nancy book (that Morgan was pretty sure I bought, but just couldn't figure out where it had disappeared), and yet more dress-up!
A fun, new tradition for us. . .making chocolate covered Strawberries and marshmallows! That was interesting! But, sooo yummy and sooo worth it!

Who Woulda Guessed?
One of the times we went to Temple Square around Christmas time, we went into the Joseph Smith Memorial building and there were these quartet singers. Emmie, being fearless of strangers, ran right up to them and watched every move they made and every sound that came from all directions. It was sooo cute, and so like Emmie. She loves to hear music, and a quartet is not something you hear everyday, so she especially thought it was amazing. After they finished their first song, and every song thereafter, Emmie would say, "Do another one. . .PLEASE!" "How do you do that?" They were so good to her. I'm not sure who loved the attention more. . .Emmie or the old men whose fading art of quartet singing was being recognized by someone so young!
